Jonathon Edgar | Director

Jonathon Edgar started yachting at 6 months old strapped to a car seat at the back of his father’s yacht. With yachting in his blood, he worked his way through dingy sailing until the age of 17 where he crewed on various charter vessels through the 2003 America’s Cup in NZ.

Jonny spent 19 years working on various high-end charter superyachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean waters. At the age of 26 he took command and spent the next 10 years captaining 40M+ vessels, qualified with a Master 500gt commercial ticket.

Jonny completed 4 new superyacht builds, many refits and the successful launch and running on our sister company JP Ribs and upon seeing a gap in the market for a luxury service, charter & brokerage company, he began his next endeavour and set up JP Marine.
